Weyermann’s Special W Malt
Dark-brown, slightly aromatic kernels. Contributes dark-amber to deep-coppery color to finished beer. Adds mouth-feel as well as a rich malt accent to brew. Very intense, complex, mild, caramel flavor; bread crust.
Excellent for making the following types of beer:
- Belgian Specialty Beers
- Belgian Bruin (Brown) Beers
- Belgian Amber Beers
- Belgian Ales
- Brown Ales
- Barley Wine
- Use in place of Special B in other recipes
Use: Produces a sweet flavour in the beer.
Rate: Use up to 5% of total grain bill for pale beers, up to 15% for dark beers.
Shelf life: At least one year when stored properly in dry conditions.
